Our Student Grades module is a custom module available as part of our School web portal package. This allows students, faculty, parents and Administrators to login to the site and view/manage the grades of each student for each subject. We support both Excel-file based data import, as well as manual data entry. This document outlines the mechanism by which manual editing of marksheet for each student can be done using the Student Grades module. After logging in as Administrator, you will see a Student Records submenu, from where clicking Course List will show you the list of courses defined in the system. Here, you can a) click on New to create a new course b) Select a particular course and click on Assign to assign the course to a faculty c) Select a particular course and click on Delete to delete the course. Clicking on New button will display this pop-up window where you can specify details of the course. In this example, a course on Information Technology for IX standard students is being described. You can define up to 9 examinations for a particular course. The course code must be a short string capable of representing the course in brief. Eg: IX-IT stands for Information Technology for Std. IX students. Once a course has been defined, you can assign ownership of the course to a faculty, by selecting the course and clicking on the Assign button. This pop-up window shows the list of faculty members from which you may pick one. Note that you can pick the same faculty for multiple courses. Once course has been defined and faculty assigned, you may enter marks for each student for the course. For this, click on the Student List menu item. Note that it will only allow you to select those students who have valid IDs associated. The IDs are automatically assigned when registered students update their profiles. Clicking on a valid student, will bring up the list of courses from which you may select the newly defined course. Note that now the marks editing window pops up. Here, you may enter the marks for each examination secured by the student and then click Update button. If you login as the faculty member, you may select 'My Students' menu item and select any student and view his/her mark sheet for the course. You can click on the Edit button and edit the marks just like the administrator.
